last night poem

Last Night ...

I slept last night in the clothes
That we made love in
Curled up on top of my bed
Not disturbing the covers
I laid surround by your smell
Remembering the feel of your hands

My shirt was damp with your sweat
And felt cool on my skin
It was never removed
During our frantic love-making
It became part of me
As you loved my body

My jeans are on the floor
They were removed early on
But as I laid alone in silence
I was still wet between my legs
And could hear your breath in my ear
Your heartbeat echoed in my heart

Sunlight filters across my body
With the patterns of the blinds
I am completely alone though
It is as though you are with me
With your arms wrapped around me
And your head resting on my shoulder

Help us stay afloat during Leukemia treatment... All help is appreciated more than you will ever know. Thank you!
